Applicants must align their requests with specific permit categories (A through F). For the 2026 period, the Civil Registry and Migration Department requires all initial documentation to be submitted digitally through the unified government gateway.
Complete the mandatory application forms without omissions. Accuracy in the initial filing is critical, as the department has implemented a "strict review" policy to reduce processing backlogs.

- Applicants must demonstrate legal and continuous residency in Cyprus for 12 months prior to the formal submission.
- A clean criminal record from the country of origin and the country of residence is mandatory. This must be renewed every three years under 2026 compliance rules.
- Biometric data collection is required for all family members over the age of six.
